Career Workshop for High School Students: Tuesday, November 3rd
As part of our initiative to increase Career-Connected learning experiences, the PSS team is hosting a Health & Human Services workshop in partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The workshop is open to all high school students who are interested in a career in healthcare.
VUMC is co-hosting the event and bringing several professionals to share interactive presentations and answer student’s questions about what careers in healthcare are like. The event is on Tuesday, 11/3, from 10:00-12:45. This isn’t a school day for students (RC Conference Day), so they would have to come on their day off. There will be pizza served at the end for those who attend!
If your student is interested in attending, please share this registration link with them directly: VUMC Workshop Link

Ecuador Trip Opportunity
Greetings!
Have you ever had the desire to visit Ecuador and the Galapagos? At the start of Summer 2028, I will be leading a tour there for members, friends, and families of our community. In the past, I have led trips to Costa Rica, Japan, and France & Italy (this summer). These tours are designed for students, but we often have family members join us too. This life-changing experience will help students build confidence, independence, and global perspective.
Curious about our 2028 student trip? You’re invited to an upcoming virtual information meeting to discover what’s in store. RSVP today!
These tours are through a student travel organization called Education First. Although I am a teacher here at Flagship, this is not a Valor sponsored event.
Please reach out to me at winstonnly@gmail.com with any questions!
Best,
Winston Ly
