WHOLE-CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The first quarter of the school year is almost over! This first part of the year sets the stage for everything your student will learn this semester, so these last few days are very important.
Here is how you can help your student finish strong:
• Make sure they are in school every day and on time. Teachers are wrapping up key lessons and giving final tests.
• Check their grades in Illuminate together. Make sure they are turning in their assignments and projects on time.
• Encourage your child to attend office hours if they need help.
Finishing Quarter 1 strong helps students feel confident and ready for the rest of the school year.
Thank you for all you do to support your child at home!

AI + Human Connection: A Valor Community Conversation
What will it mean to be human in a world shaped by AI?
How can we embrace the possibilities of artificial intelligence while protecting what matters most: our humanity and our connections to one another?
Join us for an all-community conversation at Valor to explore these questions together. Open to all Valor staff, students, and families, this gathering is an opportunity to share perspectives, ask big questions, and consider what it means to live, learn, and connect in an increasingly AI-shaped world.
Community Conversation | 8:30–9:30 AM, Thursday, October 8
All Valor staff, students, and families are welcome. No registration required!
Want to go deeper? Join the AI Immersive Experience on October 9!
A limited number of spots remain for Valor’s one-of-a-kind AI + Human Connection Immersive Experience, created in partnership with the Rithm Project. Through live actors and interactive scenarios, participants will step into possible futures and experience firsthand both the incredible possibilities and the real risks of a world increasingly shaped by AI.
This first-of-its-kind school-based experience offers an opportunity to explore how we can use AI without losing what matters most: our humanity and connection to one another.
Students in 7th grade and above are especially encouraged to participate. Students and caregivers are encouraged to attend together!
Register here. Remaining spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will receive an email confirmation.
We hope you’ll join us as we explore these questions and help shape what comes next for our Valor community.
