Invitation to Register: AI + Human Connection Summit at Valor
What will it mean to be human in a world shaped by AI?
Join us for a one-of-a-kind immersive experience designed to help students, families and Valor staff explore that question together. Through live actors and interactive scenarios, you’ll step into possible futures and experience firsthand both the incredible possibilities and the real risks of a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
This special event, created in partnership with the Rithm Project, is coming to Valor for the first time ever at a school. You’ll leave with new questions, new perspectives, and an opportunity to think together about how we can use AI without losing what matters most: our humanity and our connections to one another.
We invite families and students in 7th grade or above to join us in experiencing the future and helping shape what comes next for our Valor community.
There are several opportunities to participate in this special event over the course of three days (Oct 7 – 9, 2026). Please register using this form by selecting the time you’d like to attend. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. We highly encourage students and caregivers to register and attend the event together. We will email confirmation of registration and attendance to participants next week.

2nd Annual Network Food Drive
We’re excited to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank for our 2nd Annual Network Food Drive! From September 21st–October 23rd scholars and families are invited to help us collect food and support neighbors in our community experiencing food insecurity. Every donation makes a difference! Stay tuned for more details on how your family can participate.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
We are nearing the end of Quarter 1 and we are looking forward to Quarter 2. With that being said we would LOVE to celebrate our AMAZING teachers and staff as they have worked hard to set the tone for the 26-27 school year. 11TH GRADE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Hello 11th Grade Families and Caregivers,
I would like to first introduce myself. My name is Morgan Campbell and I am the Manager of Postsecondary Success at Valor College Prep. I am so excited to get to know you and your scholars this school year. I have the privilege of planning the Signature Experiences for each grade level at VCP to bring a level of joy, belonging, and excitement for each grade level.
For the 11th Grade Signature Experience this year, we will have a two day experience on October 27th & 28th. The first day we will offer 6 different college day visits and the second day will be a “Pop of Joy” at the Main Event in Murfreesboro, TN.
*This is not an overnight event. Transportation via charter bus and lunches will be provided on both days.
Day 1:
Your scholar will have the opportunity to rank their choices of the below schools to tour on Tuesday, October 27th. While they are not guaranteed to get their first choice selection, they should definitely get one of the college tours they select.
The college trips offered this year will include:
- University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Knoxville, TN
- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga – Chattanooga, TN
- Western Kentucky University, – Bowling Green, KY
- University of Louisville – Louisville, KY
- Volunteer State Community College – Gallatin, TN
- University of Memphis – Memphis, TN
Because of the size of this trip, there will be no trip switches once your scholar is notified of their placement due to having to communicate final numbers to each college location for dining, buses, rosters, etc.
*I will provide specific timing and logistics for each trip and the Pop of Joy at a later date. Please be mindful that drop off and pick up times might differ from the typical school day for these dates, so transportation is the student’s/family’s responsibility.
Trip Attendance
There will be no instruction for 11th graders at VCP on October 27th & 28th. 11th grade scholars that do not attend the trip should not report to campus on October 27th & 28th since the entire 11th grade team will be off campus. If your scholar does not attend the trip, it will count as an unexcused absence unless a doctor’s note is provided.
The deadline to submit this permission form is Friday, October 9. Failure to complete this form will result in your scholar not being able to attend the trip and getting an unexcused absence. Click here to access the form.
