Voyager Principal’s Update 9/13/26

The Voyager Weekly Principal’s Update — Week of September 13

A Note from Ms. Naramore
Ms. Naramore

We’re officially in week 6, which means we’re fully in the rhythm of the school year and already about halfway through the quarter! This is a great time to check Illuminate with your scholar and celebrate the growth you’re seeing so far. If any grades flag, please reach out to your Pride Leader or directly to the course teacher. They can help you with course-specific information. We’ll be sharing official progress reports next Monday. One more exciting note: Student Circles kick off tomorrow! No action needed on your part, just a friendly reminder that Circle starts right at 8:00 a.m., so a smooth, on-time morning will help your scholar start the day strong.

Another highlight I’m looking forward to this week is the Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 19th. It’s truly one of my favorite Valor events of the year and is such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our vibrant Valor community together. I hope to see many of you there!

As always, thank you for staying engaged and connected. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the Voyager family!

Student Circles Start This Monday

Please ensure your child arrives on time every day! Student Circles begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Monday mornings to foster our Valor community and set a positive tone for the week. Late arrivals miss this vital start to the school day.

Car Rider Line Reminder

As we work to make sure our Car Rider Line is as safe as possible, we have an ask for our families. Please keep in mind that we share a car rider line with our Valor College Prep and this year we’re now dismissing within 30 minutes of each other.

Ask:

  • VCP dismisses at 3:00 p.m. on Mondays and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. It’s best practice to try to arrive 20 minutes after their dismissal so high school cars can clear.
  • We know it’s tempting to find a quicker way around when HS traffic backs up, but please loop around with that traffic rather than pulling into the Tractor Supply parking lot or starting a third line.

We know this may seem like a small thing, but it causes real backups for families trying to merge, and it throws off our student line list, so cars end up unaccounted for. Thanks for helping us keep the line moving smoothly for everyone!
