Announcing your 26-27 AI Community Council!
We received over 60 applications for our AI Community Council and are excited to announce our Council for this year. It is an amazing group of students, family members, and faculty and evenly split with AI “skeptics” and “scouts”. Together we’ll be leading PL sessions, co-hosting the AI + Human Connection Summit (see below), creating an “AI Learning Commons” for our community, and creating Design Principles for Valor’s upcoming AI Literacy Strategy. Feel free to share you AI thoughts with anyone on the Council!

Homework Support Workshop
Date: Thursday Sept 24th 2026
Time: 6:00–7:30 PM
Where: Flagship Middle School
This session stems from our Family Valor Voice survey, where over 50% of middle school families expressed interest in learning strategies to support their children with homework. Join us to gain practical tools and tips to assist with homework challenges effectively. Also earn your scholar a homework pass for attending and learning more about Valor Homework.
🥫 2nd Annual Network Food Drive
We’re excited to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank for our 2nd Annual Network Food Drive! From September 21st–October 23rd scholars and families are invited to help us collect food and support neighbors in our community experiencing food insecurity. Every donation makes a difference! Stay tuned for more details on how your family can participate.
