Voyager Principal’s Update 7/26/26

A Note from Ms. Naramore
Ms. Naramore

I’m Christina Naramore, and it’s my honor to serve as your Principal this year. My leadership team and I have spent the summer preparing for what’s ahead, and are incredibly excited to kick off the year. Our full staff returns to campus this week, which feels like our first major step toward launching this school year! And in a little over a week we’ll be welcoming you all to campus at Kickoff Night, when the school year will truly feel like it’s upon us.

While I’m new to the role of Principal, this is not my first year at Voyager — I’ve had the privilege of serving as both Assistant Principal of Academics and Assistant Principal of Culture. This is a phenomenal school community that I cannot wait to serve in this new capacity. I look forward to meeting you and your student, and to celebrating the moments, big and small, that make this school feel like the amazing place it is.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out anytime at cnaramore@valorcollegiate.org.

Here’s to a year we’ll remember together. Go Lynx!

Reminder: Updated School Hours

For the 26–27 school year, we’ve adjusted our schedule to comply with state guidance on instructional day length. Updated arrival and dismissal times:

  • Mondays: 7:55 a.m. – 3:36 p.m.
  • Tuesday–Friday: 7:55 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.

Student Circle continues on Mondays, and school time stays roughly the same as the current schedule. Students will attend all classes five days a week, meaning Content Focus and Enrichment classes now happen on Mondays too. After-school programming is not impacted.

Important Reminders

7th Grade Immunization Records

If you have an incoming 7th grader and haven’t submitted their updated Tdap booster record, please take care of this as soon as possible. Scholars need updated immunization records on the official Tennessee Immunization Certificate, with the box at the bottom checked by the doctor’s office as “Complete 7th Grade or Higher.” Scholars without documentation of a Tdap booster, a medical exemption, or a parent/guardian religious-objection note by day 10 of the school year (August 13th) will not be allowed to attend school until it’s received.

Please note: due to HIPAA and privacy laws, we generally can’t contact your scholar’s physician directly to obtain this information. Questions? Contact the school nurse: Alphonsine Haslet-Phillips, ahasletphillips@valorcollegiate.org.
