CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Community Agreements

Community Agreements are live on valorfamilynews.com. These are the critical policies all families need to review and sign receipt of prior to the start of the school year.

You must sign a community agreement for each of your scholars attending Valor.

Your scholar must have signed community agreements to receive their school computer

Please reach out to emarks@valorcollegiate.org with any questions!

7th Grade Immunization Records

If you have an incoming 7th grader and have not submitted their updated Tdap booster record, please ensure that is taken care of as soon as possible. Scholars are required to have updated immunization records documented on the official Tennessee Immunization Certificate (sample of what certificate looks like is linked here) before returning in person this fall. Please make sure the box at the bottom is checked by the doctor’s office as, “Complete 7th Grade or Higher.” All scholars without documentation of a Tdap booster, medical exemption from a medical provider, or a note from a parent/guardian stating a religious objection to it before day 10 of the school year (August 13th)  will not be allowed to attend school until documentation is received.  Please refer to the Tennessee Department of Health website here for more information.

Please note: due to HIPAA and privacy laws, we are generally unable to contact your scholar’s physician directly to obtain this information. If you have questions, please email your school nurse: Alphonsine Haslet-Phillips ahasletphillips@valorcollegiate.org
