Please join us for 11th and 12th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, August 4th.
Schedule of Events:
- 4:00 PM – Doors open
- 4:30 PM – 11th Grade Presentation (Gymnasium)
- 5:15 PM – 12th Grade Presentation (Gymnasium)
Both presentations will take place in the gym and will cover essential material to ensure your student is prepared for the upcoming school year, with a strong focus on important information for completing their postsecondary plans.

This event provides the opportunity for parents to be introduced to the Family Engagement Team, learn about the different ways you can get connected, be informed and involved with our Valor community.

Big news for our afterschool program! We are excited to announce Dameneke Charles as our new Afterschool Care Manager. Dameneke brings a passion for student engagement and safety, and is eager to meet all of our wonderful scholars and families.

In line with FACE’s commitment to culturally-aware fine arts and enrichment, Dameneke’s goal is to empower our diverse community through creative, inspiring experiences every day after school. Say hello next time you see Dameneke at pick-up!

ATHLETIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Attention High School Bowlers! Bowling tryouts will be held on August 25th and 26th at Tusculum Strike and Spare: 5315 Nolensville Pk., Nashville TN 37211 from 3pm-5pm. If you plan to tryout, you must fill out the interest form.
High School Golf Tryouts will be held on August 3rd at Vinny Links Golf Course starting at 4pm. Previous golf experience is strongly encouraged.

Senior Sunrise – Class of 2027
We are excited to welcome the Class of 2027 to one of Valor’s senior traditions: Senior Sunrise. This optional event serves as one of the two “bookends” of senior year. Students will gather to watch the sunrise together and then enjoy a light breakfast with their 12th grade teachers, VCP school leaders, Valor network leaders, and other staff members who have supported the Class of 2027. This part of the event is free for all seniors.
Schedule
5:50–6:10 AM
Students gather in VCP’s parking lot to watch the sunrise.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket for comfort.
Sunrise is at 5:54 AM—arrive before then if you want to see it!
Please note: VCP staff will not be on-site until approximately 6:15 AM. (Coach Strazz will be there around 5:30)
6:15–7:45 AM
Senior Sunrise Breakfast and fellowship in front of VCP.
7:45–8:00 AM
Transition to departure or to the parking spot painting area.
8:00–8:15 AM
Parking spot painters set up and ask questions.
8:15 AM–12:30 PM
Parking spot painting.
Students should park in the non-student section of the Valor parking lot.
