Wow, what a Senior Sunse this past Friday! Thank you all for coming out and for your continued support. It was such a special way to kick off our graduation festivities and celebrate the Class of 2026 together.
A huge thank you to Mr. Strazzeri and the entire 12th Grade Team for all of the planning, coordination, and care that went into making tonight such a memorable experience for our seniors and families.
Today, we celebrate graduation! The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM, and doors will open at 4:00 PM. Please see the 12th Grade section for all of the details.
Thank you to all of the families who have poured into the Class of 2026 throughout their journey. Your love, support, and partnership have helped make this moment possible.

Last Day of School
We’re excited to celebrate the last day of school with a fun-filled schoolwide party on Thursday, May 21 from 7:30–11:30 AM! Students will get to enjoy a variety of activities, including a silent disco, game rooms, arts and crafts, karaoke, movie rooms, and even a few rounds of Bingo. We’ll also have raffle prizes, yearbook signing opportunities, and a visit from Kona Ice to help us kick off summer in style.
It’s a special time for students to relax, connect, and celebrate all they’ve accomplished this year—we can’t wait to end the year together on such a joyful note!

2026-27 High School Football Signups (With NCP)
Football for High School with Nashville Collegiate Prep will begin June 1st.
Practices will be Monday-Thursday in June. Fridays will be added after the Dead Period.

Upcoming Tryouts for Fall VCP Teams (Grades 9-12)
Submit questions to the Athletic Department
In the absence of a town hall this year, the athletic department is responding to questions/requests via email.
Athletics FAQS:
- Middle schools will be staying in the same athletic conference (HVAC) that they have always played in. The teams will continue to be split into A & B teams as they have in the past.
- High School leagues will still be the same leagues they have been in the past, competing with MNPS schools in the AA division.
- Tryouts will continue to be announced and advertised via the principal’s updates
- Our high school co-op will be with Nashville Collegiate Prep (NCP), and we will play football, baseball & softball with them. There will be busing from Valor to NCP for practices.
- There are no plans to add any new sports for the 2026-27 school year.

11TH GRADE ANNOUNCEMENTS
1:40 PM Dismissal on Monday, May 18th for 11th grade
On Monday, May 18, we will run a modified schedule to accommodate the Practice ACT for 9th and 10th grade students.
11th grade students will attend all of their classes on a shortened schedule and will be dismissed at 1:40 PM. Please see the schedule below for the day.

12TH GRADE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Graduation will take place on Sunday, May 17, at 5:00 PM at the Gaylord Opryland Events Center (2806 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214).
Timeline for Graduation
Graduate Arrival Time: 2:00 PM
All graduates must arrive by 2:00 pm. They should bring their cap /gown with them.
Graduation Rehearsal will begin at 3:00 pm.
Doors open for all guests/families at 4:00 pm.
Graduation will begin promptly at 5 pm.
Location:
Graduation will take place on Sunday, May 17th at the Gaylord Opryland Events Center (2806 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN, 37214). The Gaylord Opryland Events Center is a separate building from the main hotel. The Events Center is situated between the Opryland Hotel and the Opryland Mall.
Parking:
All guests have three parking options for graduation.
Free Parking: There is free parking at the Opry Mills Mall. This is an approximate 0.2 mile walk to the Event Center entrance. Watch this video to see the short walk from the free parking.
Paid Parking: Guests can park in the Cascades and Presidential self-parking lots at the rate of $30.
Valet Parking: Guests can also receive valet parking at the self-parking rate if they choose to valet instead.
Tickets:
All guests will need to present their paper tickets. All tickets were distributed at Senior Sunset.
Children 2 and under do not need tickets. All children above the age of 2 will need a ticket.
Seating at graduation will be on a first come, first serve basis. All seats will have unobstructed views of the stage/graduates.
Interpretation:
Upon entry to graduation, we will have tables with interpretation equipment available. Interpretation will be available in Spanish and Arabic.

The graduation will be live-streamed here.
Items to Leave at Home:
To ensure a safe and comfortable ceremony, the following items are strictly prohibited from being brought into the venue:
- Containers of any kind (including but not limited to coolers, thermoses, cups, bottles, cans, flasks)
- Aerosol and spray cans
- Animals (except for service animals for persons with a disability)
- Balloons and beach balls
- Alcoholic Beverages
- Weapons
- Signs, banners, and flags
- Laser pointers
- Noisemakers (including but not limited to whistles, air horns, bull horns, sirens, thunder sticks, etc.)
- Drones
- Confetti, glitter, streamers, and silly string
- Fireworks, party poppers, and sparklers
Suggested Attire for Graduates:

- Requirements
- Graduates must bring their cap and gown to graduation. Graduates are permitted to decorate their cap.
- Graduates should wear either a dress or a skirt, or wear dress pants with a collared, button-down shirt and a dark-colored tie.
- Jeans are not allowed – even black jeans – for this ceremony.
- Students should wear dress shoes. No sandals without a backstrap or flip-flops.
- Suggestions
- Wear shoes that you know you can walk in. This is not the time to try wearing pump heels for the first time, given that you will be walking in front of a room of 2000 people … on stage. As such, high-heels and wedges are strongly discouraged.
- Dresses should likely be shorter than the graduation robe, which will hit somewhere between the mid-calf and heel.
- Dresses and skirts should be lightweight and shouldn’t be too full so they are able to comfortably fit under the graduation gown
