Updated 26-27 Bell Schedule
For the 26.27 school year, we’re making some adjustments to our schedule that have some impacts to our dismissal times. We’re making these adjustments to ensure we’re in compliance with guidance from the state that has shifted over the past few years related to length of the day and additional stockpile PD/inclement weather days. Here are updated arrival and dismissal times:
- Mondays: 7:55-3:36
- Tuesdays-Friday: 7:55-3:10
The schedule adjustments will allow for the student circle to continue to happen on Monday and time at school will remain roughly the same from the current schedule. Additionally, students will go to all classes, five days a week, meaning they will start having Content Focus and Enrichment classes on Monday. The new times will not impact any after school programming. We’re excited for these shifts!
2026-2027 School Year Calendar
Our 26.27 calendar has been approved by MNPS! You can find it in the links here: English, Spanish, Arabic
MNPS made some shifts to their approach for the 26.27 school year calendar which has impacted some of ours as well. While the base calendar has been approved, there are still some internal dates we are working to finalize, some of which are dependent on MNPS. These include things like ACT testing dates, TNReady windows, etc.. We’ll update our calendar and share with families as those dates get solidified. For now, those dates say “Dates TBD”.
Nurse Announcements:
As we are closing in on the last week of school please remember that if you brought medications for your children to keep at school, they need to be picked up by an adult by 12:00 on May 21, 2026. Unfortunately, medications cannot be released to anyone under 18 years.
Medications will also be available at Voyager, for pick up on Thursday May 28, 2026 afternoon, from 2:00-6:00. After this date, if prior arrangements have not been made with the nurse, any leftover medications from the 25-26 school year will be disposed of per state requirements and no longer be available for pick-up.
Contact the nurse for any questions: ahasletphillips@valorcollegiate.org or call 615.823.7982
A Fire Safety Update from the State of Tennessee:
The more prepared we are for a possible fire, the safer we will be.
Knowing our fire evacuation route & routine at school is important. Knowing your fire evacuation route helps your teachers quickly check to make sure everyone made it out safely. This is why it is important to stay at a Zone 0 for all fire drills. In the event of a real fire, never go back inside a building that is still burning. Once you are safely outside, stay
