CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Flagship’s Final Compass Store

Good Afternoon!

This is Mr. Ly, the compass teacher at Flagship. Along with supporting our students with badge work, book fair and soccer, I also take on the task of running our compass cash store.  Compass cash store is an opportunity for our students to spend the compass cash they earn each week.  Whatever they don’t spend is saved in their account for future use.  I try my best to be creative in ways for our students to spend their hard earned “money.”

Each year, it’s my goal to make our last compass store of the year the best and most plentiful store.  In order to make that happen, I am reaching out to all of you to ask for help!  Your donations will only be available for use in our compass store.

Would you consider giving a gift to be included in our final store of the year?

Examples, but not limited to:

  • Gift cards/certificates to a restaurant, store, game, or experience
  • Tickets to a music or sporting event
  • New, fun items or memorabilia
  • Pokemon cards, sports cards, or other collectables
  • New, sports equipment/balls
  • Water Bottles (i.e. Stanley, Owala..etc)
  • Other things you know that middle schoolers like

If you would prefer to make a monetary donation where that money will be spent on items for the store, you can do that through the following MySchoolBucks Link:

My School Bucks – Compass Store Donation

Our final store will be April 27 – May 1.  You may bring in your donated item(s) any time from now until April 23.

Hope to hear back from you soon! Please reach out to me directly if you have questions. Thank you!

Winston Ly

Autism Acceptance Month: Coin Drive

As part of our commitment to building a more inclusive and accepting community, we are excited to launch our Autism Acceptance Coin Drive from April 15th through May 7th.

Throughout this time, students will have the opportunity to contribute spare change through their Pride groups. All funds raised will go directly to support our Harbor classrooms, helping provide resources and experiences that directly benefit our students.

The Autism Acceptance Walk will take place on May 8th. If you are interested in participating or supporting, please reach out to Ms. Donaldson (jdonaldson@valorcollegiate.org).

Thank you for your continued partnership in making our school a place where every student feels seen, supported, and valued.
