April at Valor is a season of reflection and celebration. It invites us to honor the pioneers, traditions, and lived experiences that enrich our shared history and strengthen our community today. This month, we stand in solidarity and celebration with several key observances:

Upcoming Religious & National Observances
We recognize that many of our families will be observing sacred traditions this month. Please see the dates below as a guide for our community:
- March 29 | Palm Sunday (Eastern Orthodox): Commemorating the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
- April 2 – 10 | Passover (Pesach): This eight-day “Feast of Unleavened Bread” celebrates the Jewish people’s exodus from enslavement. Please note that on April 2–3 and April 8–9, many members of our Jewish community will refrain from work and school activities.
- April 2 | Theravada New Year: In Theravada countries the New Year is celebrated on the first full moon day in April.
- April 2 | Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday): Commemorating the Last Supper before the Crucifixion.
- April 3 | Holy Friday (Good Friday): Commemorating the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
- April 5 | Pascha (Easter): Celebrating the resurrection of Jesus in Eastern Christianity.
Community Connections
We encourage our families to engage with the vibrant culture of Nashville through local events. Some include:
- Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival: April 11, 2026
- Earth Day Festival: April 18, 2026
