Voyager Award Ceremony Parking
Please only park in the main Voyager parking lot if you are planning to attend the award ceremonies on February 11 and 12. If you park in the Tractor Supply lot between Flagship and Voyager, you will be immediately towed.
Voyager Dismissal Reminders
Please remember that Voyager dismissal begins at 3:25 PM Tuesday–Friday and at 2:30 PM on Mondays.
To ensure that Voyager dismissal does not disrupt high school dismissal, we ask families to arrive in the care line no earlier than 3:00 PM on Tuesday–Friday. This allows our VCP neighbors sufficient time to complete their dismissal procedures safely.
Inclement Weather Day Make-Up: February 16th
Given the recent inclement weather storm in Nashville, Valor needs to make up one school day. Valor had five built in inclement weather days coming into the school year and given the six days missed, we need to make up a day. To make-up for this day, we are aligning with MNPS and having school with our students on Monday, February 16th in lieu of previously planned professional development with our staff.

Harpeth Hall SPARK Summer Program
As families begin to consider summer options, I reach out to share news that Summer Spark for Girls will be offered for a fourth year. This application-based two-week program will run July 13-24, 2026, 9 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., Monday – Friday. The program is offered at no cost to families and includes lunch, school materials, snacks, books, and transportation stipends.
Summer Spark for Girls is designed to ignite joy of learning, inspire academic and personal growth, and celebrate the whole girl as she makes new discoveries and creates supportive friendships in a small cohort of learners. Taught by Harpeth Hall faculty, this two-week, full-day program offers classes in language arts, math, science, wellness, and leadership. Rising 6th grade girls will bolster their academic skills, grow in confidence, and explore their creativity through visual and performing arts activities. We welcome interested current 5th grade girls to apply. Priority consideration will be given to students from Metro Nashville schools. The priority deadline is March 31. Rolling decisions will be communicated throughout April.
Updated 26-27 Bell Schedule
For the 26.27 school year, we’re making some adjustments to our schedule that have some impacts to our dismissal times for the 26.27 school year. We’re making these adjustments to ensure we’re in compliance with guidance from the state that has shifted over the past few years related to length of the day and additional stockpile PD/inclement weather days. Here are updated arrival and dismissal times:
- Mondays: 7:55-3:36
- Tuesdays-Friday: 7:55-3:10
2026-2027 School Year Calendar
The schedule adjustments will allow for the student circle to continue to happen on Monday and time at school will remain roughly the same from the current schedule. Additionally, students will go to all classes, five days a week, meaning they will start having Content Focus and Enrichment classes on Monday. The new times will not impact any after school programming. We’re excited for these shifts!
Our 26.27 calendar has been approved by MNPS! You can find it in the link here. MNPS made some shifts to their approach for the 26.27 school year calendar which has impacted some of ours as well. While the base calendar has been approved, there are still some internal dates we are working to finalize, some of which are dependent on MNPS. These include things like ACT testing dates, TNReady windows, etc.. We’ll update our calendar and share with families as those dates get solidified. For now, those dates say “Dates TBD”.
We are working on getting translated versions of the calendar and will share them in the coming weeks!
Student Research Project – participants needed:
- One of our AP Research students at VCP is in need of participants for her research project, please see below and complete the interest form if you would like to be involved!
- The purpose of my research is to explore how attachment theory (connectedness between parent and child) can generally correlate to green spaces within school playgrounds. My goal is to use student voice to help inform sense of connection and emotional development.
- Students and caregivers will complete both an outdoor and indoor activity together and complete a short reflection after.
- After the completion of all activities, parents and children will be asked to complete a short survey, to identify correlation based on the enjoyment of activities both indoor and outdoor activities and attachment theory related questions.
- All data will remain confidential and will be collected in accordance with AP Research ethical guidelines. Participation requires completion of both the interest form and consent forms by the parent/guardian and the student; students will only participate if consent is received from both.

February Observances
As we step into February, our community recognizes Black History Month, Ramadan, and Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, alongside many other important moments of reflection. As a diverse-by-design school, this month offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions that shape our community while standing in solidarity with our students and families. Together, we continue building a culture where everyone feels seen, valued, and a true sense of belonging.
National Observances
- Sat., Feb. 15 — Nirvana Day (Buddhist): A day of reflection marking the Buddha’s achievement of Parinirvana, often observed through mindfulness and remembrance.
- Sat., Feb. 15 — Susan B. Anthony Day (U.S.): Honors the birth and legacy of Susan B. Anthony and the ongoing work for women’s voting rights and equity.
- Sat., Feb. 15 — Maha Shivaratri (Hindu): The “Great Night of Shiva,” a sacred festival of prayer, fasting, and spiritual renewal.

Middle School Bowling Tryouts on 2/16
We will have Middle School Boys & Girls Bowling Tryouts on 2/16 from 3pm-5pm. There will be a bus after school to take students to Tusculum Lanes (5315 Nolensville Pk, Nashville, TN 37211) Please board the White Valor Branded Bus immediately after school!
Families will need to pick up their students at the bowling alley at 5pm.
Middle School Track & Field Tryouts on 2/20 at Rose Park
We will have Middle School Boys & Girls track & field tryouts on 2/20 from 4pm-6pm at E.S. Rose Park (1000 Edgehill Ave. Nashville, TN 37211)
There will be a bus after school to take students to the track. Please board the White Valor Branded Bus immediately after school!
Families will need to pick up their students at Rose Park at 6pm.
Parents Night Out Hosted by Athletics 2/13/2026
The back-to-back state champions will be hosting a parents’ night out on February 13, 2026, from 4pm-10pm in the VCP gym. ($50 per student) All Ages welcome
