We hope you and your family are safe and warm after last week’s winter weather. We are writing with a brief Principal Update to share a few schedule adjustments resulting from the ice storm.
Awards Days
To ensure all families have the opportunity to attend—particularly those still navigating power outages—we are moving Awards Day back one week. Updated dates are below:
- 5th & 7th Grade: Wednesday, February 11
- 6th & 8th Grade: Thursday, February 12
Makeup Picture Day
Makeup Picture Day will take place this Friday, February 6. Scholars who were absent on the original Picture Day will have their photos taken automatically. If you would like your scholar’s photo retaken and have not yet reached out, please email voyagerfrontoffice@valorcollegiate.org to be added to the retake list.
Scholastic Book Fair
We are in the process of rescheduling the Scholastic Book Fair and will share confirmed dates and volunteer opportunities in this week’s Pride Blast and next Principal Update. Our hope is to host the Book Fair the week of February 9–13—please keep an eye out for more details.
Progress Reports
Progress Reports will still be sent home on Monday, February 9. Due to inclement weather and missed instructional days last week, this report will include fewer grades than usual.
