Here is the “Wall of Thanks” for Week 2 of Valor Givings:

Every gratitude note in Valor Givings represents a meaningful part of a student’s journey. We asked a few families to share more about the experiences that have shaped their time at Valor. Here’s a closer look at a couple of Valor families’ “why” for supporting Valor:
When Stella was a sophomore, she started playing soccer. She’s always played competitive and recreational soccer since kindergarten. Being coached by Coach Telang and Coach Gardner has been life-changing. Valor coaches are focused on building the both individual and the team – they are developing and supporting the whole person.
The fact that this amount of support and care is coming from school, and that it is free for us, is mind-boggling. We have never gotten this individual growth, team support, and sense of community from anywhere else.
Stella loved her experience playing a team sport at Valor so much that so she also joined the basketball team. Valor Athletics is so big on creating the “athletic family” – it has been so lovely getting to know other parents and participating in the events.

When I first visited Valor searching for a school for my daughter, I told my wife that it is a good school with a great environment for students to learn.
As an educator, I understand how much effort teachers dedicate to preparing their lessons. I believe we are fortunate to have Valor in our community, and therefore, we as parents and volunteers should help ensure that Valor continues to excel, as demonstrated by their students’ acceptance into top universities.
