Hello Valor Families,
As the new school year approaches, we hope this email finds you well and your family in great spirits. We are thrilled to invite you to be a part of our esteemed Valor Family Group (VFG) and embark on an exciting journey of family engagement and community building at Valor.
At Valor, we hold the belief that we enroll families, not just scholars. To strengthen this philosophy, we have formed the Valor Family Engagement Team (FET) which consists of both parents like you, known as the Valor Family Group (VFG), as well as dedicated staff members. Our aim is to establish a genuine partnership with families, where your voices play a pivotal role in shaping our community and practices.
The VFGs primary mission is to create opportunities for all families to ENGAGE, CONNECT and INFORM. We firmly believe that when parents actively participate in their child’s education, it fosters a stronger sense of community, enhances academic success and enriches the overall school experience
The VFG is comprised of the Core Team, consisting of the following dedicated Individuals:
- Family Engagement Manager- Alexis Morris
- Family Engagement Assistants: Sandra Santiago (Latin X/ Hispanic), Ayda Doski (Arabic/ MENA), Sipel Ibrahim (Kurdish/ MENA), Cherisna Jean- Marie (African American/ Black)
- VFG Hospitality Chairs
- Parent/ Guardian Volunteers ( single event or ongoing commitment)
WE WANT YOU….. Volunteering with VFG provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with other parents, foster friendships and actively contribute to the positive growth of our Valor community. We warmly encourage every parent/ guardian to join VFG at a level of commitment that suits you, your schedule and interests. Whether you can participate in one-off events or wish to contribute regularly, we appreciate your involvement
