12TH GRADE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear Class of 2026 Students and Families,

We are excited to begin preparations to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the Class of 2026! Graduation will be a special moment for our seniors,  families, and the entire Valor community, and we look forward to honoring this milestone together.

Graduation will take place on Sunday, May 17, at 5:00 PM at the Gaylord Opryland Events Center (2806 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214).

To help us plan for guest seating, all seniors must complete the Class of 2026 Graduation Ticket Request Form by Friday, March 20, at 3:00 PM.

Important: The form must be completed by the student using their Valor student email account. Responses submitted from other email accounts will not be accepted.

Ticket Requests
Each graduating senior may request up to 10 tickets for guests. When completing the form, please select only the number of tickets you know your family will use so that we can accommodate as many families as possible.

If your family anticipates needing more than 10 tickets, you may indicate the number requested on the form. While additional tickets are not guaranteed, students may be entered into a raffle for extra tickets if they meet the following expectations between March 16 and April 24:

• No more than 2 additional unexcused absences
• No more than 4 additional unexcused tardies

These expectations help ensure that our seniors finish the year strong as we approach graduation.

Ticket Distribution
All guests must have a physical ticket to enter the ceremony.

Tickets will be distributed to students during Graduation Practice and Senior Sunset on May 15. Seniors will be responsible for giving these tickets to their guests prior to the ceremony. Please note that guests without a physical ticket will not be able to enter the event.

For family members and friends who are unable to attend in person, the graduation ceremony will also be streamed live on YouTube, and we will share the viewing link with families as we get closer to the event.

We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and all that you have accomplished during your time at Valor. We look forward to celebrating this meaningful moment with you and your families in May.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to bgill@valorcollegiate.org.

Core Team Meetings

The Postsecondary Success Team is beginning to host Senior Core Team Meetings! The main purpose of this meeting is to assist you and your family in comparing postsecondary options and arriving at an exciting and affordable choice. Bring acceptance letters and aid packages as well as your student’s completed Postsecondary Plan (you can review this with your students ahead of the meeting) to facilitate this process.

The meeting should be in-person, including student AND family. This ensures a comprehensive decision that everyone agrees on. These meetings are mandatory and will be counted as a summative grade (unless both parents and students complete the opt out form from your student’s counselor – in which case you will be excused from the assignment). Please be sure to schedule meetings during non-core content classes only (ex: I Block, Journalism, Personal Finance, etc.). Meetings will last about 30 minutes and will be available from 3/16-4/24.

Please email your student’s postsecondary success counselor with any questions.
