We know weather events like this can create unexpected challenges, and we want to make sure our community is aware of available support. Local organizations are offering resources such as warming centers, food assistance, emergency supplies, and help with utilities and housing needs for families who may have been impacted. These services are available to anyone who needs extra support during recovery.
1- Warm Meals

For families still without power, Southall Church may be able to help cover the cost of a hotel room (as availability allows) so you can rest in warmth and safety. They may also be able to help with generators delivered to your home.

5. Transportation Assistance
The Nashville Office of Emergency Management (OEM), in collaboration with the Nashville Fire Department (NFD), the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), and the Emergency Communications Department (DEC), is providing safe transportation to residents who need assistance getting to one of the temporary shelters in Nashville.
This coordinated effort aims to support individuals who may be at risk due to the low temperatures and who lack reliable transportation. The service is available to residents who wish to be transported to an open temporary shelter within Davidson County.
To request transportation, please call 615-401-1712. Please have the following information ready:
- Your name
- Your current location
- The number of people needing transportation
- Are there any special needs or mobility issues?
- Do you have pets? (Pets are allowed.)
WeGo Public Transit will resume regular weekday operations at the start of morning service on Wednesday, January 28, and will no longer be operating on snow routes. The WeGo Star and Star shuttles (routes 64 Star Downtown Shuttle and 93 Star West End Shuttle) will operate their normal weekday schedules. All other regional bus service will not run on Wednesday.
Transportation requests will be fulfilled based on resource availability, prioritizing those most vulnerable to the extreme cold.
