WHOLE-CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
What an incredible week for our school community! This past Friday, our Volleyball Team competed in the State Finals at MTSU and brought home their 2nd State Championship in a row! We are so proud of our student-2athletes for their dedication, teamwork, and Wildcat spirit, and grateful to all of you who came out to cheer them on or supported from afar. Our students had a blast celebrating together, and it was a moment we’ll never forget.
In other exciting news, 66 of our students earned the AP Capstone Diploma based on their scores from the 2025 AP Exam administration. This prestigious recognition is awarded to students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research, along with four additional AP exams of their choice. It reflects not only their exceptional academic and research skills, but also the dedication and guidance of our incredible teachers. We are so proud of these students and deeply grateful to our teachers for helping make this achievement possible.
A big thank you as well to Dr. Conway and the 11th grade team for hosting a wonderful 11th Grade Signature Experience. Our juniors visited colleges and enjoyed time at Main Event—a balance of inspiration and joy that will stay with them as they plan their futures.
Even amidst these celebrations, instruction continued strong, and our seniors took the 12th Grade ACT last week. Thank you for encouraging your students through such a full and meaningful week!m.
Thank you, families, for all you do to keep the Wildcat Way thriving. We couldn’t do it without your partnership!
Dr. Gill

9 – 11th Grade Practice ACT 10/30
All 9 – 11th grade students will take a full-length practice ACT on Thursday, October 30th. 12th grade students are excused from school for a postsecondary exploration day (we encourage students to use this day to visit potential schools or further their PSS research on postsecondary options). Arrival time to school on this day is our standard 7:30am and dismissal will be at 1:40pm for all 9 – 11th grade students. Please arrange transportation accordingly.
Please also make sure that your student comes to school on this day with a charged chromebook (and charger to be safe), calculator, and writing utensil.
If you have any questions about this ACT, please contact Lisa Ladd (LLadd@valorcollegiate.org).
10/30 Costume Guidance
If scholars choose to wear a costume to school on 10/30 that is okay. However, we want to ensure that costumes are not a significant distraction to scholars and the learning environment. For these reasons, please observe the following guidance:
1) All costumes must Valor dress code outlined in the Valor Handbook.
2) All weapon-like props are not allowed and should not be brought to school
3) Fake blood is not allowed.
4) Any prop larger than a binder are not allowed and should not be brought to school.
October 31st Report Card Conferences
Students will not attend class on Friday, October 31st. Instead, teachers will spend the day in conferences with caregivers about students’ performance in Quarter 1. We would love for you to sign up for a meeting!
If you have multiple students attending Valor College Prep, you will complete the sign up form once for each of your students. We will arrange for as many of your student’s teachers to be present (whether virtual or in-person, though we do strongly recommend in-person) as possible during your selected meeting time.
The deadline to sign up is Sunday, October 26th.
