New Lower School (9th and 10th Grades) Announcement
Dear VCP Community, My name is Henry Bradford, and I’m honored to step into the Lower School Principal role for the 2023-2024 school year. I am entering my 13th year in K-12 public education, with the last 4 having been at Valor (3 years as a math teacher and instructional coach at VCP, 1 year as an Assistant Principal at Voyager). I am looking forward to working with Dr. Brad Gill (Upper School VCP Principal), students, leaders, teachers, families, and community members to create the best school environment possible at VCP. I deeply believe in fulfilling Valor’s mission to “empower our diverse community to live inspired, purposeful lives”. Chief of Schools Transition
I hope that each of you are doing well and enjoying your summer – we are excited to welcome you back on August 7th! I am reaching out with some news to share. For the past year or so, Sarah Giblin and I have been discussing a transition for her from her role as Valor’s Chief of Schools. Our plan was to have her transition after this coming school year, in the Summer of 2024. However, a career opportunity came up for Sarah unexpectedly, and resulted in her decision to be ready to make that transition this summer, a year earlier than anticipated. I’m sure many of you share my feelings of bittersweetness here as we reflect on Sarah and her remarkable contributions to the Valor community. Sarah has played a foundationally critical role in Valor’s creation and growth over the past 10 years and will be greatly missed. Please see a letter Sarah has written for students and families here.

ATHLETIC ANNOUNCEMENTS
VCA Managing Director of Athletics Cameron Hill receives national certification from NIAAA The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) is pleased to announce that Cameron Hill, Managing Director of Athletics at Valor Collegiate Academies has been recognized by this association as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator. To earn this distinction, Cameron Hill has demonstrated exemplary knowledge, contributions and on-going professional development in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s educational background, experience, NIAAA Leadership Courses and professional contributions. It culminates with a practical written or oral presentation project. Cameron Hill is one of a very elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism.
