Where: Valor College Prep
Purpose: We know that African Americans/ Black people have done so much and excelled through so many various ways that we have decided to showcase Black Excellence of Nashville to Valor students, staff, families and communities.
The Ask:
We are looking for people who would volunteer to perform at the event. The categories include the following:
- Singers
- Dancers
- Musicians
- Divine 9 members
- Models for fashion show
- Speakers (activist, politicians, HBCU grads etc )
- Athletes
- Business owners
We want to have $1 games that families can play. You will be responsible for hosting the game.
- bingo
- Tic tac toe
- Checkers
- Go fish
- Dance battle
- Trivia
- Twister
- Name that tune
- Corn hole
- Spin wheel
Taste of valor African, African American and black families.
- cake, pies, cookies and brownies,
- chicken rice, macaroni greens
- families will volunteer to bring food to sell ranging from $1-$5
- Food trucks
4. Represent your nation -Valor is very diverse and we have a lot of students that are from Africa. We would love for their cultures to be represented through setting up a both to high light their culture

All funds earned through this event will go toward or FET African American Community and BSU future events such as our Juneteenth celebration held in the summer, and other events we would like to host in 2023- 2024 school year.
