WHOLE-CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
District Message from MNPS Regarding TCAP Achievement and EOC Scores in Student Grades:
MNPS will not be including the TCAP state standardized test results as part of students’ final grades this school year. State law (T.C.A. § 49-1-617) requires that school districts include TCAPexam scores in the final spring semester grades if complete and usable scores are provided to the district within five instructional days before the end of the academic year. MNPS has not yet received all of our students’ information, and therefore scores will not be included in grades this year. Schools will be working to finalize student grades in the coming days to provide report cards by May 26 for elementary and middle schools and June 3 for high schools.

Summer Volunteer Opportunity – 6/21-6/23
Hello Valor Community & Friends,
Valor is hosting some volunteers June 21-23, 2022. We have a lot to do to get our schools ready for the 2022-23 school year. This is a great opportunity for high school students to earn some volunteer hours, and an awesome time for families to give back to the Valor community. We will do things like trash clean up, move furniture, deep cleaning, and many other projects to help make our space more organized and clean for our teachers’ and students’ return. Please take some time to sign up for a day and time slot(s) that would work best for you, so that we can better plan and coordinate the projects for the day.
Thank you in advance!
Valor Operations Team
After you sign-up, you’ll receive more details and information.

NOTE FROM THE NURSES:
As we approach the end of another school year, we would like to remind parents/guardians to pick up any medications that are stored in the nurse’s office. All medications that are stored in the office MUST be picked up by a parent/guardian by Friday, May 27th, 2022. Any medications, over the counter or prescription, that are not picked up by this date will be disposed of.
Please note that medications must be picked up at the end of each academic school year. If you would like your scholar to have medication kept in the nurse’s office next year, a new medication administration form must be completed and returned for the 2022-2023 school year. All medications, and completed medication administration forms for the 2022-2023 school year, can be dropped off in the front office by a parent/guardian once the new school year begins.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions at health@valorcollegiate.org. We wish you and your family a fun summer vacation!
