Flagship Makeup Picture Day

Flagship makeup picture day has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 14 for all scholars who were absent on the original picture day, October 19.  If you have any questions regarding makeup picture day, please contact Jihan Abdulla at jabdulla@valorcollegiate.org.  

Ms. Combs Maternity Leave

We wanted to let you know that Theater Teacher Ms. Combs is on maternity leave and Ms. Chantal Bell will be covering Ms. Combs’ maternity leave.  Ms. Combs is expected to return in March.

8th-Grade Field Trip

We are happy to announce that we plan to continue the Valor tradition of taking the 8th-grade scholars to Washington, D.C, in the 2021-22 school year. We will leave for Washington, D.C, on Friday, May 20, 2022, and return Tuesday, May 24, 2022. For more information, please click here. The deadline to sign up for the D.C Trip is Monday, January 17th.

Applications for the 2022-23 school year are now OPEN! If you have a child entering 5th through 12th grade, APPLY TODAY at valorenroll.com. If you have a current Valor scholar, you do NOT need to complete a new application.  Please encourage your friends and family to apply as well!

Bingo Night and Food Drive a Success!

Thank you to all of our volunteers and families for your help in making this event a success! Not only did our scholars have a great time, Voyager and Flagship families donated over 260 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank! 

FACE: FINE ARTS, CLUBS & ENRICHMENTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

FACE Gala

Thank you to everyone who helped with the FACE Gala. It was a success and a memorable night for our students and community. The FACE team would like to send a special shoutout to Jean Rohrbach. Jean, thank you for your support on the day of the event. We hope to see all of you at next year’s gala.

We are delighted to announce that registration for the Spring after-school Fine Arts, Clubs, & Enrichment (FACE) programming is now open! CLICK HERE TO SIGN YOUR SCHOLAR(S) UP TODAY! You DO NOT have to sign up again if you are currently in the program. 

High school students have been emailed the link to sign up for programs. Program leaders will reach out to parents and students to collect more information, or to accept scholars into their program. All after-school FACE programs will meet in-person until further notice. Scholarships are available for families demonstrating financial hardships.

Aladdin Jr. Seeking Director

Due to circumstances beyond our control, FACE is actively seeking someone to take over directing the after school spring musical Aladdin Jr.  Qualifications, job description, responsibilities, how to apply and stipend amount are available here.  If you have any questions, please contact Aaron Miller: amiller@valorcollegiate.org.  Deadline to apply is December 13th, 2021.  This role is available to any qualified candidate, all applications will be considered.
