Progress reports will be sent via email this week! As always, you can check your scholar’s grade via Illuminate’s parent portal.

VCP’s Homecoming

The Homecoming Dance/Party will be on Saturday, December 4th. Doors open at 6:00pm and the event concludes at 9:30pm. There will be food, dancing, a DJ, and more! You will vote for Homecoming King & Queen upon arrival and winners will be announced that evening. Tickets go on sale soon! Look for posters in the hallway and more info in next week’s posting! Chomebooks During Break

Students will have access to use their chromebooks throughout Thanksgiving Break. Please note that VCP administration will not be monitoring chromebooks during this time.

In partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, we are thrilled to host a Pfizer vaccine clinic for students 5 and older AND booster shots for all fully vaccinated individuals who are at 6 months or more after their initial series. For boosters, Pfizer, Moderna and J&J will be available.

FAC (FAMILY ADVISORY COUNCIL) ANNOUNCEMENTS:

FAC Bingo & Game Night – Fun Update!

Valor will host its annual Middle School Family Bingo Night on Thursday, November 18th from 6-8pm in the Valor Flagship Upper School Common Room. This is a great opportunity to get to know new people in our community and have some fun! If you’re able to help with volunteering during the event, please click on the Sign Up Genius listed below. We only ask for an hour of your time. All volunteers earn a Homework Pass for their scholar!

UPDATE!!! We will be collecting canned goods and other non-perishable items for the Second Harvest Food Bank at the event!  Bring donated items and you will be entered in a raffle for gift cards (One raffle ticket per canned good, up to three tickets max per person). If you would like to donate raffle prizes, please Sign Up Here!

Remember to volunteer to bring a baked good! They will be used as prizes for the winning bingo card. Be creative, and you will earn bragging rights for the 2021 Bingo Baker – competition is tough, Susan Love has earned this title for two years running!
